During the Diwali vacation I had been to Chikhaldara to see the Gawilgarh. Chikhaldara is the place in Amravati district which is approx 40 Km from Paratwada/ Achalpur. It was a great excitement as I was visiting the place after eight years. But the whole excitement converted into anger. The fort is now in a worst condition. All it's wall has now started collapsing and those which are in good condition are painted with the names of the tourists...
This is really a shame for the tourists as they have to write their names on the wall of forts to achieve fame or to be successful in love do you really need to write your and your girlfriend's name on the fort's wall....I will suggest to write these names on your home's wall. Then your love will definitely be successful.
Shame is also on archeological department as I have written them a mail and they didn't gave me any response after so many weeks. So what are they doing then if they are not taking care of monuments. This fort was unconquerable for many years and has a great history with it. It is the only fort around the region .
